Dějiny

Okres Altkirch byl vytvořen v roce 1800. V roce 1857 byla subprefektura přesunuta do Mulhouse. V roce 1871 byla rozpuštěna postoupil do Německa. Okres Mulhouse byl obnoven v roce 1919.[3] V lednu 2015 pohltila pět obcí první okrsek Guebwiller a dvě obce bývalého okrsek Thann.[4]

V důsledku reorganizace kantony Francie který vstoupil v platnost v roce 2015, hranice kantonů již nesouvisí s hranicemi okrsků. Kantony okrsku Mulhouse byly od ledna 2015:[5]
