Richard Ullerston - Richard Ullerston

Richard Ullerston DD (zemřel v srpnu nebo v září 1423) byl a Vicekancléř a Kancléř z Oxfordská univerzita.^[1]

Ullerston se narodil v Vévodství Lancaster, Anglie. Poté, co byl vysvěcen kněz v prosinci 1383 se stal a Chlapík z Queen's College v Oxfordu (1391–1403), zastávající funkci na vysoké škole, a pokračoval do Doktor božství a Vicekancléř Oxfordské univerzity v roce 1394.^[2] V roce 1408 se stal Kancléř univerzity^[3] a ve stejném roce napsal na žádost Roberta Halluma, Biskup ze Salisbury náčrt navrhovaných církevních reforem: „Petitiones quoad reformationis ecclesiae militantis“, který je k dispozici online (viz níže).

Ullerston napsal komentář k Krédo (1409), jeden na Žalmy (1415), další na Chvalozpěv chvalozpěvů (1415) a "Defensorium donationis ecclesiasticae", dílo na obranu dar Konstantina. Na žádost Arcibiskup Courtenay napsal pojednání „De officio militari“ „O vojenské kanceláři“ určené pro Henry, princ z Walesu.

Od roku 1403 držel Ullerston prebend z Oxford v Salisburská katedrála a od roku 1407 fara z Beeford v Yorkshire.
