Etymologie
The konkrétní název, guentheri, je na počest Němec -britský herpetolog Albert Günther.[2]
Geografický rozsah
R. guentheri se nachází v Indii v Madurai okres, Tenmalai, Travancore a Anaimalai Hills.[3]
Typová lokalita je „Madura, Sirimallay Hills“[4] (= Sirumalai Hills, Okres Madurai).
