Metopacanthus je vyhynulý rod paryby z Early Jurassic epocha v Evropa. Je známo z Toarcian z Posidonia Shale Německa. Je to neobvyklé, protože jde o podivnou aberantní Chimaeru s čelistní strukturou nad lebkou.[1]
