Paratéza je rod kvetoucích rostlin v rodině Primulaceae. Existuje asi 95 druhů distribuovaných z Mexiko na Jižní Amerika a karibský. Rostliny tohoto rodu lze odlišit žlázovitými papilami na lalocích květinové koruny a jasně žlutými prašníky.[1]
