Alcithoe je rod velkých mořské šneky, námořní plži měkkýši v rodině Volutidae, voluty.[1]
Popis
Alcithoe jsou velké, bentické neogastropod mořské šneky.[2] Druhy jsou predátoři a všechny taxony procházejí přímý vývoj.[3]
Rozdělení
Alcithoe druhy se vyskytují v okolních mořích Nový Zéland.[2][3][4] O rodu existuje bohatý fosilní záznam.[5][4]
