Psectrotanypus je rod nekousání midges v podčeledi Tanypodinae rodiny krevních červů Chironomidae. Psectrotanypus varius (Fabricius, 1787) je známo, že se vyskytuje ve velmi znečištěných vodách s pouze několika dalšími doprovodnými druhy, jako je Chironomus plumosus.
