John de Ferrers, 4. baron Ferrers z Chartley (c. 1331 - 3. dubna 1367) byl synem Robert de Ferrers, 3. baron Ferrers z Chartley a žena jménem Margaret.^[1]

John de Ferrers se narodil v roce Southhoe, Huntingdonshire. Zdědil titul Baron Ferrers z Chartley po smrti svého otce v roce 1350, ale nikdy nebyl předvolán do parlamentu.

Přes své mládí John bojoval Gaskoňska pro Edward III v roce 1345 se provdala za Elizabeth de Stafford (1342 - 7. srpna 1375) - vdova po Fulkovi le Strangeovi (Baron Strange ) a dcera Ralph Stafford, 1. hrabě ze Staffordu a Margaret de Audley, dcera Hugh de Audley, 1. hrabě z Gloucesteru.

Pár měl jednoho syna Roberta, který se stal Robert de Ferrers, 5. baron Ferrers z Chartley po smrti svého otce v roce 1367.

John de Ferrers, 3. baron Ferrers z Chartley, zemřel dne 3. Dubna 1367 u Bitva o Nájeru v Kastilie.
