Hugo Karl Anton Pernice

Hugo Karl Anton Pernice (9. listopadu 1829 - 31. prosince 1901) byl Němec gynekolog a porodník narozen v Halle an der Saale. Byl synem právní vědec Ludwig Wilhelm Anton Pernice (1799-1861) a otec klasický archeolog Erich Pernice (1864-1945).

Pernice studoval na univerzitách v Göttingen, Halle, Bonn a Praha. V roce 1852 získal lékařský doktorát v Halle, kde poté zůstal jako asistent Anton Friedrich Hohl (1789-1862). V roce 1858 se stal profesorem gynekologie a porodnictví na University of Greifswald, stejně jako ředitel kliniky OB / GYN.

Byl instruktorem a lékařem v Greifswald na více než 40 let, do důchodu v roce 1899. V roce 1863 se stal prvním předsedou Medizinischen Vereins Greifswald (Medical Association of Greifswald).
