Georg von Georgievics - Georg von Georgievics

Georg Cornelius Theodor von Georgievics (18. srpna 1859 Weißkirchen im Banát - 26. dubna 1933 Znaim ) byl Rakousko-Uhersko chemik.

Životopis

Georgievics studoval na Technická univerzita ve Vídni a pracoval rok v textilní společnosti Marienthal.

Ve studiu pokračoval s Zdenko Hans Skraup ve Vídni a později s Carl Graebe na University of Genf. Od roku 1886 byl asistentem Hugo Weidel v ústavu pro pedologie (chemie půdy) ve Vídni. Získal titul Ph.D. z Univerzita v Gießenu v roce 1890 pracoval jako odborný asistent v Staatsgewerbeschulen Bielitz. Stal se profesorem na Německá univerzita Charles-Ferdinand v Praha v roce 1904. Jeho oblast výzkumu byla založena na barvivech a barvicích procesech.
