Bhura Singh Ghuman (narozen 1954) je indický akademický a akademický správce, který sloužil jako Vicekancléř[1] z Punjabi University, Patiala od 14. srpna 2017. 18. listopadu 2020 rezignoval na funkci VC.

Životopis

Bhura Singh Ghuman se narodil dne 15. Června 1954 ve vesnici Arkwas (poblíž Lehragaga ) a předčasně se vzdělával v místní vesnické škole.[2] Promoval z Shaheed Udham Singh Vládní vysoká škola, Sunam a M.A. v Veřejná správa z Punjabi University, Patiala. Dokončil M.Phil. a Ph.D. z GNDU v roce 1979, respektive 1985.[3]

Prof. Ghuman zastával několik významných akademických pozic: Působil jako a Profesor[4] z Veřejná správa na Panjab University, Chandigarh třicet osm let. Ghuman je editorem mnoha renomovaných vědeckých časopisů[5] a publikoval 73 článků a 3 knihy.[6] Byl také členem akademických orgánů různých univerzit. Kromě toho byl také členem pátého Platit provizi, Paňdžáb od roku 2007 do roku 2009 a Komise pro reformu správy Paňdžábu.[7]

Ocenění a vyznamenání

Je mezinárodně uznávaným výzkumným pracovníkem[8] a nedávno obdržel Paul H. Appleby cena [9] za příspěvek v oblasti veřejné správy. Je také držitelem mnoha dalších ocenění.[10]

Stint na pandžábské univerzitě

Prof. Ghuman se velmi zajímal o celkový rozvoj univerzity a uskutečnil různé iniciativy, jako je zlepšení standardů výzkumu,[11] zahájení nových akademických programů a specializovaných center,[12] MoU podpis se zahraničními univerzitami,[13] zajištění zvýšených dotací z Vláda Paňdžábu[14][15] a MHRD[16][17] [18] kromě omezení zbytečných výdajů. Přijal mnoho iniciativ, aby povznesl univerzitu ve všech sférách.[19][20][21] Univerzita pod jeho schopným vedením rostla mílovými kroky.[22][23][24]

Prof. Ghuman dostal prodloužení o tři roky [25] díky jeho vynikající práci a efektivnímu řešení univerzitních záležitostí kancléřem a Guvernér Paňdžábu.
