Dějiny

Okruh Parthenay byl vytvořen v roce 1800.[3] Při reorganizaci obvodů Deux-Sèvres v lednu 2018 obdrželo 21 obcí okrsek Niort a ztratil 16 komun okrsek Bressuire.[4]

V důsledku reorganizace kantony Francie který vstoupil v platnost v roce 2015, hranice kantonů již nesouvisí s hranicemi okrsků. Kantony okrsku Parthenay byly od ledna 2015:[5]
