Dějiny

Okres Mortagne-au-Perche byl vytvořen v roce 1800, rozpuštěn v roce 1926 a obnoven v roce 1942.[3] Při reorganizaci okrsků v Orne v lednu 2017 získalo 49 obcí z okrsek Argentan a jedna komuna z okrsek Alençon, a ztratil pět obcí na okrsku Alençon.[4]
