A. R. Natarajan byl žákem Sri Ramana Maharši který o svém guru vydal řadu knih. Byl prezidentem a zakladatelem Centra učení Ramana Maharshi, Výzkumného centra Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi a viceprezidentem Ramana Kendra. Byl redaktorem časopisu Horská stezka.[1]
